KUALA LUMPUR: Kelantan FA (Kafa) have assured that they will settle salary arrears by the end of this year.
Kafa deputy president Datuk Seri Afandi Hamzah said it is now the association’s priority to settle them but it would be done in stages.
“We are unable to settle every debt within a short period of time. We will do so in stages once we get the funding,” he said.
Afandi said the association are currently in talks with several potential sponsors.
“We want to start anew and the mission in the coming season is to return to the Super League in 2020,” he added.
Last week, former captain Badhri Radzi claimed that Kafa owes him money from the previous seasons.
It is believed that the sum is around RM2 million.
