KUALA LUMPUR: Kedah's mid-season signing Ifedayo Omosuyi continued to prove his value as he powered them to a 3-1 win over Kelantan United in a Super League match at Darul Aman Stadium yesterday.
The two-time Golden Boot winner scored a brace and has recorded three goals in two games.
The Nigeria-born Ifedayo scored in the 55th and 74th minute. Kedah added their third through Amirbek Juraboev in the 86th minute.
The Green Deer's consolation goal came in injury time through
Ismaheel Akinade.
Kedah stayed in fourth place in the table with 34 points from 17 games.
In Kota Baru, Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) thrashed Kelantan 5-0.
The Argentina-born Fernando Forestieri scored a brace (ninth and 60th). Oscar Arribas (22nd), Bergson Da Silva (64th) and substitute Akhyar Rashid (78th) were also on target.
The Southern Tigers stretched their winning run to 17 games and extended their lead over second-place Selangor to 17 points.
