KUALA LUMPUR: After much speculation, naturalised forward Romel Morales has joined M-League champions Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) for the new season.
The announcement was made by JDT through a 42-second video on the club's official Facebook page on Tuesday.
Colombia-born Morales joined JDT from KL City.
The 26-year-old earned his first cap with Harimau Malaya in the 4-0 defeat to Jordan during the group stage of the Asian Cup in Qatar.
His most memorable moment at the tournament was scoring a late equaliser in the 3-3 draw against South Korea
Morales will likely strengthen JDT's attacking depth, forming a formidable trio alongside Bergson da Silva and Fernando Forestieri.
