KUALA LUMPUR:
The repair to his face can wait. Selangor midfielder Noor Al-Rawabdeh has postponed a cosmetic surgery in order to play in a Super League match against Sri Pahang (tomorrow) and FA Cup semi-final return leg against Terengganu on Saturday.
The Jordanian international required five stitches after a head clash with a Terengganu defender during the FA Cup semi-final first leg in Gong Badak on July 1. Selangor lost 3-2.
Al-Rawabdeh, 27, will wear a protective mask for the two matches this week.
"I need to protect my head since the wound is still fresh.
"I got five stitches, but maybe next week, I go for surgery. For now, it's okay," said Al-Rawabdeh.
Selangor coach Nidzam Jamil said Al-Rawabdeh's right eyebrow needs surgery.
"He needs minor surgery, which was scheduled for last Friday, but we postponed it to ensure we get a better position in the M-League."
