KUCHING: Kelantan won't obsess themselves with the "mother of all gold medals" at the Malaysia Games (Sukma) despite showing they have the ability to win it.
Kelantan have established themselves as contenders for the football gold after shocking Selangor 2-0 and Johor 3-1.
In the semi-finals, Kelantan will face Federal Territories while defending champions Terengganu will meet Melaka.
The Selangor team management do not want to put any pressure on their players.
Team manager Datuk Azmi Ariffin said they will let their players fight for "whatever colour" of the medal as long as they bring joy to Kelantan fans with their play.
"With their success so far, I hope the players won't get complacent. They must remain determined to secure victories.
"We want to bring joy to Kelantan football supporters. Now, it's up to the players to decide the colour of the medal," he said.
