KUALA LUMPUR: Bunga Raya Damansara FC player Raja Imran Shah is determined to help his side emerge champions of the A1 Semi-Pro League this season.
After a jittery start to the season, Imran said Bunga Raya have now found their rhythm and are looking to build on their momentum.
They are currently third in the table, just four points adrift of leaders Melaka FC, with 11 wins, three draws and three defeats after 17 matches.
"For me personally, our target remains the same as it was on the first day of the season, which is to win the A1 League," said Imran when met at the launch of the Sketchers Football Collection - Evolution Pack Elite yesterday.
"We lost a few matches and had a drop in form earlier this season but we have now regained our momentum.
"We have won quite a few matches in a row now and are performing well. We have about 10 matches left and I hope we can maintain our form until the end of the season."
Bunga Raya have now won four matches on the trot, most recently beating the Malaysia University Football Team 1-0 on Saturday (Oct 26).
They will next face face Immigration FC on Nov 10. The A1 League is currently the second-tier league in Malaysia after the Super League.
Sketchers have partenered with Bunga Raya and their players Khair Jones, Mathias Mansor and Khyril Muhymeen Zambri as well as Imran attended the launch event at a Football Republic outlet in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
