Johor and Terengganu to clash in Razak Cup final

KUALA LUMPUR: Hosts Johor will take on Terengganu in the men's Razak Cup hockey final at the Taman Daya Stadium in Johor Baru tomorrow.

Johor, chasing their fourth title, edged 13-time champions Perak 3-2 in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, Terengganu, led by national striker Faizal Saari, fought back to edge Pahang 4-3 in the other semi-final.

Terengganu will be aiming for their third title tomorrow.

Johor surged to a 3-0 lead with goals from Faris Ros Fadillah (sixth minute), Krishanraj Singh Gill (29th) and Abdul Hamzah Yahkip (52nd).

Perak mounted a late comeback, scoring through Syed Syafiq Syed Cholan (56th) and Azrai Aizad Abu Kamal (58th).

Johor coach Nor Aqmal Abdul Gaffar anticipates a tough battle against Terengganu in the final.

In the women's final, the Young Tigresses will face Selangor tomorrow. The Young Tigresses, who are gearing up for the Junior Asia Cup in Oman next month, comfortably beat Perak 5-0, while last year's runners-up Selangor thrashed Terengganu 4-0 in the semi-finals.
