KUALA LUMPUR: Defending champions Pahang qualified for the TNB-Women's Razak Cup final following a 2-0 win over Armed Forces at the KLHA Stadium in Pantai on Friday.
Forward Rabiatul Adawiyah Mohamed deflected the ball into goal off a penalty corner set piece for Pahang's opening goal in the 19th minute.
Siti Zulaika Hussin extended the lead in the 30th minute from a field attempt.
Despite the win, Pahang coach Benedict Arrais was unhappy with his team's performance.
“We did not play a good game today."
"The players were slow. Probably they are tired due to the long week.
"We also missed some good chances from penalty corners.
"There were six penalty corners and we only scored from one.
"This is not good and we need to work on this ahead of Sunday's final," said Benedict.
Forces coach Azizan Mustafa said: “I am happy with the performance of my players who had a fair share in scoring opportunities.
"We can only blame ourselves for squandering those chances," said Azizan.
