KUALA LUMPUR: National squash player Ng Eain Yow will not stick to one training base overseas in his quest to improve his game and world ranking.
The world No. 13 has completed his degree in business management in Bristol, England, and is now looking for new training bases.
Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia (SRAM) director S. Maniam said Eain Yow has decided not to stick to one training base overseas.
"Instead, he will be roving to a few places to help him improve his game and world ranking," Maniam said.
"For now, Eain Yow will train and spar in New York, Prague, Egypt, the Netherlands, and Bristol.
"He will train under Shaun Moxham in New York and former world champion Gregory Gaultier in Prague, the Czech Republic.
"Eain Yow will also spar with former world champion and world No. 8 Mohamed El Shorbagy in Prague.
"Eain Yow will also spend time in Bristol to train under coach John Welton. He will also travel to the Netherlands and Egypt to spar with top players."
The 26-year-old's main challenge when the new season starts in September would be to break into the world's top 10.
Eain Yow had a good outing on the PSA World Tour this year, with winning the German Open in April being his best achievement.
The Asian champion also reached the third round of the World Championships in Egypt and was a finallist at the QSF No. 3 Open in Qatar.
Last month, Eain Yow upset two Egyptians - world No. 13 Aly Abou Eleinen and world No. 5 Karim Abdel Gawad in the second and third rounds before losing to world No. 2 Paul Coll of New Zealand in the quarter-finals of the British Open.
Eain Yow, who helped Malaysia win the Asian team title in China two weeks ago, will start his new season in the Egyptian Open in Giza from Aug. 30-Sept. 6.
