KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian sides Selangor Red Giants and HomeBois are on course to face each other in the semi-finals of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Mid Season Cup (MSC) in Riyadh.
Both teams have been placed in the bottom half of the quarterfinal draw.
The Red Giants, who topped group B, are set to face Turkey's Fire Flux Esports on Wednesday. Fire Flux had finished second to Singapore's NIP Flash in group A.
HomeBois, who finished second in group C, will play Flash on Thursday for a place in the final-four.
The top-half of the draw sees group C winners Liquid Echo (The Netherlands) facing off against Falcon Esports (Myanmar), who were second in group D, on Wednesday.
The other quarterfinal match pits group D winners Falcons AP.Bren (The Philippines) against See You Soon (Cambodia), who were runners-up to Red Giants in group B. The match will be played on Thursday.
Red Giants had secured direct qualification to the group stage of the MSC after emerging as the MPL Malaysia champions this year.
HomeBois, who were runners-up to the Red Giants in MPL Malaysia, had to go through the wildcard tournament route to secure their berth in the group stage.
MSC, which is part of the Esports World Cup line-up, offers a lucrative US$3 million (RM14.1 million) prize purse.
