JOHOR BARU: The coaches of Selangor Red Giants (SRG) and Team Vamos said many lessons have been learnt from their teams' Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League Malaysia (MPLMY) playoffs performance.
Vamos head coach Khairul Azman "Pabz" Sharif is relatively happy with their Grand Finals run despite losing 4-2 to SRG.
The new kids on the block dropped only two games en route to booking their M6 World Championship ticket.
"I can't say that we had a bad playoff just because we lost the final.
"You have to look at the consistency, and that we managed to get to the Grand Finals. Overall, I'm happy with our performance.
"SRG were dominant in their lower bracket run, sweeping their opponents 3-0. But we managed to utilise strategies and hero choices that threw them off," Khairul Azman told Timesport in a post-match interview.
He added that if Vamos further strengthen their strategies from this playoff run, it will bode well for them in the M6.
SRG head coach Michael Angelo "Arcadia" Bocado said their defeat to Todak in the upper bracket semi-finals was a blessing in disguise.
"Last season when we gained momentum, we just snowballed and won all our matches.
"But at these playoffs, there were plenty of lessons along the way that we can bring to our future tournaments," he said.
Both teams will represent the country at the M6, which will be held later this month at Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil.
