KUALA LUMPUR: Asian champion S. Sivasangari went down fighting to Belgium's world No.7 Nele Coll in the second round of the US$207,500 Hong Kong Open today.
The world No. 10 Malaysian, who beat Nele in the London Classic in April, started off well by winning the first two sets 11-6, 11-8, but she could not continue her momentum, and lost the next three,
11-6, 11-5, 11-7
The gruelling match lasted 71 minutes.
National chief coach Ajaz Azmat said Sivasangari lost her composure in the third set.
"Sivasangari was leading 4-1 in the fifth set but she lost focus and also the match."
