Touch 'n Go eWallet now available at more outlets in Singapore

KUALA LUMPUR: Touch 'n Go eWallet says Malaysian users can now make cashless payments at even more participating merchants in Singapore.

Touch 'n Go eWallet users have been able to pay for products and services at any Alipay+ merchant in Singapore since 2022.

Touch 'n Go eWallet users can now scan and pay at any merchant displaying NETS QR via NETS payment terminals or SGQR in the republic.

This includes popular local kopitiams and hawkers that do not accept cards, thanks to the recently-announced cross-border partnership between DuitNow and NETS.

The cashless payment method has now grown over 130,000 touchpoints and became the widest payment coverage for Malaysian eWallet in Singapore.

TNG Digital Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Alan Ni said,"As a company that emphasises address customers needs, we are excited that the feature broadens cashless payment acceptence for our users,"

"We are also thrilled to welcome visitors from Singapore to Malaysia to enjoy the seamless transaction of using their respective eWallets to make Payment at more than 1.5 million merchant touch points nationwide by scanning the DuitNow QR code."

The payment feature also helps to enhance the tourism industry as well as economic activity among the small and medium retail businesses.

It also extended the users to the first numberless card in Malaysia which applicable even at merchants that only accept cards.

Users are now able to conveniently transact in their own local currency using live foreign exchange rates and guaranteed their eWallet are safe and protected while making the transaction.

"Malaysians who are travelling to Singapore can have peace of mind as they enjoy the cashless payments knowing the foreign exchange rate upfront and track their expenses immediately," the company said.
