MIRI: Communications and Multimedia Ministry this morning delivered some of the tablets allocated under the Malaysian Family Student Device Package (PRSIS) initiative.
The handling-over event, which was held at IPG Sarawak Campus here and streamed live on the ministry's Facebook page as well as Tan Sri Annuar Musa's Facebook, received thumbs ups from viewers who were grateful of the initiative.
The Malaysian Family Student Device Package (PRSIS) initiative was made possible thanks to The Communications and Multimedia Ministry (K-KOMM) and netizens have been showing gratitude all over Facebook live for K-KOMM's contributions.
Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said during the Budget 2022, more than 600,000 students from B40 families will receive benefits from the initiative.
The tablet distribution is divided into phases. The B40 students will be given the latest Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 LTE tablet with the Samsung ITFIT TAB A8 Book Cover, Samsung Smart Keyboard Trio 500 and Samsung ITFIT Stylus Pen included as well as a warranty for up to 2 years, a year more than the general one.
Commenting on Communications and Multimedia Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa's Facebook live, a Facebook user named Azim Abdullah IV said "Hopefully with the efforts of K-KOMM, we can produce many successful students who can contribute to the national economy," while Selangor Rebels decided to applaud the receivers by commenting "May all goes well…congratulations to the Student Device Package receivers,".
With several others giving the same congratulatory comment, Deal Omiro added that the devices were of great quality and 'terbaik'. Even Wira Kehormat Pakdin, Don Mamu, and Mia Melissa Mia shared the 'Terbaik' tagline.
Although many Facebook comments were of positive note, some reminded them to use the devices for good and not leisure.
Dora Lin said "Those who received the devices, don't use them to play games..study hard and appreciate the government's services," while Haiqal Alhabshee added, "Thank you K-KOMM for helping the B40 students…hopefully they will study hard,".
