KUALA LUMPUR: “I don’t like cheap publicity. Get a life, dude!” said actress and former Akademi Fantasia 5 contestant Nonny Nadirah, 28, in a statement posted on her Instagram account directed to Datuk Red, a businessman and husband to singer Adira Suhaimi.
The statement was intended to rebuff claims of an alleged affair between Nonny and Red. In recent news reports, Red, whose full name is Adnan Abu, 39, claimed that he was romantically involved with an actress whose name starts with the letter N. This ultimately dragged Nonny into the heated controversy.
Unhappy with the false accusations, Nonny made sure to come forward and tell her side of the story to clear the air. In the Instagram post, she also said: “I love my friends, my family, my loved one and I respect them, so stop being childish.”
“Have an affair with you? I haven’t even met you! What else do you want to share? Thank you for jeopardising my reputation!”
Red, who is notoriously known for his mischevious behaviour, was also rumoured to have had an affair with fellow actress, Ruhainies Farehah last year.
He tied the knot with Adira in December 2015, and welcomed their first daughter recently in March, named Anggerik.
This however isn’t his first marriage. Red tied the knot with Syarifah Norshafila back in 2005 and the couple, who are still married, have five kids together.
