KUALA LUMPUR: Singer-actor Aliff Aziz has finally broken his silence over his alleged infidelity.
In an Instagram live session last Friday, the 28-year-old Singaporean artiste admitted that he was wrong and made a public apology.
He also blamed himself for the “trouble” he had caused to his wife Bella Astillah.
“I have remained silent because I understand it is my fault and no matter what I say, it means nothing as everyone knows what has happened and have their own judgement.
“I understand how everyone, especially Bella, is upset. No amount of apologies can help change what everybody thinks of me.
“Not because I’m running away, but because everyone feels they are entitled to their opinions and judgements.
“I am not answerable to anybody aside from God and my family,” said Aliff.
“Every mistake has a cause. In my case, I admit I am the cause. I want to apologise for what I did. I am clearly wrong.”
Aliff said he regretted his actions and had wronged Bella from time to time.
He said that he was going to rectify his mistakes and resolve his domestic problems.
“I’ve brought her so much trouble, she has endured a lot, I feel so guilty towards her.”
Aliff also said Netizens were “free to curse him”. However, he reminded them not to spread rumours and make speculations.
He called on Netizens to stop criticising his mother Siti Hafiza Sheikh Mohamad for her Instagram post last Thursday, where she urged him and Bella to settle their differences and not “listen to the devil”.
“To those who are passing judgements about my mother’s post, please stop as nobody knows my mother like I do.
“She is a firm believer that what is wrong is wrong regardless of whether I am her son or not.
“At one point she blocked me out of her life because of my wrongdoings to show me that she does not tolerate nonsense from me towards my wife or myself.”
Aliff’s and Bella’s marriage courted trouble recently due to his alleged partying with actress Oktovia Manrose.
Last Wednesday, Bella, 25, claimed on Instagram that an individual informed her that Aliff had partied with Oktovia, his co-star in a recent telemovie, at a nightclub.
In her post, Bella said that she had given Aliff a second chance after he went out for a karaoke session with actress Afifah Nasir two years ago.
She then confronted Oktovia who claimed that she and Aliff were merely friends.
Oktovia, 26, subsequently apologised to Bella on Instagram for “going out with a married man”.
Bella and Aliff tied the knot on Sept 9 2016, and they have a 2-year-old son, Ayden Adrean.
