#Showbiz: Keith Foo open to caring for daughter while ex-wife goes 'dating'

KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Keith Foo is happy that his ex-wife has found another mate.

While the 38-year-old artiste and Kim Raymond were divorced in late 2019, he still considers the happiness of both his former spouse and their daughter, Skylar Raymond Foo, as a priority.

"I have told my ex-wife before that I share her joy with the presence of a new mate. I hope for the best for her.

"In fact, if she wants to go on 'dates' and I have free time, I can look after Skylar," he said in a recent news report.

Although glad to know of his former wife's latest development, Keith has yet to meet his Miss Right.

"I am comfortable with my situation at this point of time. I'm open to finding love but now is not the right time yet.

"My daughter has been filling whatever void I'm feeling in my heart," he said.

Foo added that his relationship with his ex-wife remained a cordial and comfortable affair.

"No question about us coming back together has ever come up. We are comfortable and more positive in our current relationship.

"So why change something that is already joyous?" he said.

Foo explained that his solid post-marriage relationship with Raymond was subjective.

"Separation might be seen as something negative. But if that is the best step, then that is the choice that needed to be made.

"Insisting to continue in a relationship that is not healthy will only be bad for our daughter. We both want to care for our daughter in the best way possible," he said.

Foo, who is of Chinese and Indian heritage, added that he was still busy with various activities.

"Aside from acting, I am actively conducting charity work with St John Ambulance Malaysia Negri Sembilan.

"I'm quite adamant in giving something meaningful back to the society.

"I am also into fitness and a healthy lifestyle so I exercise regularly," he said.

Meanwhile the actor revealed that he had been going for laser surgery to get rid of his tattoos.

"I got myself some tattoos when I was 18. It's now been a year since I started the process of erasing my tattoos. I am doing this to make it easier on my work.

"I don't want to trouble productions into doing more editing when there are visuals featuring certain body parts.

"The tattoos limit my acting options since I also frequently portray Malay men," he said.
