KUALA LUMPUR: A family member has confirmed that actor Hafidz Roshdi punched his ex-wife Nurul Shuhada Mat Shukri three times after they got into an argument this morning.
The family member, who declined to be named, claimed that Hafidz punched Nurul Shuhada, a mother of two, in the face, injuring her.
"Yes, it's true. Nurul Shuhada was injured after she was punched by Hafidz during an argument this morning.
"The argument got out of hand when Hafidz punched Nurul Shuhada thrice in the face."
The family member said Nurul Shuhada was taken to a hospital for treatment and that a police report had been lodged by two other family members who witnessed the incident.
"After the incident, we lodged a police report, then took Nurul Shuhada to a hospital. She had to get stitches.
"A CT scan was done to ensure no internal injuries. Nurul Shuhada was allowed to return home and was not asked to stay for observation or tests," the family member told Berita Harian Online.
The family member said Nurul Shuhada was still in shock and requested privacy and time to rest and recuperate.
"Thankfully, she is in stable condition."
Earlier, Nurul Shuhada raised questions when she uploaded posts on social media that are believed to be about her injuries.
She uploaded three posts to her Instagram Story about receiving treatment at a hospital.
The pictures she uploaded showed the injuries to the left side of her face, which was bandaged.
In another post with a picture of a bloody clenched fist, Nurul Shuhada wrote, "May Allah S.W.T forgive the two of you."
In another post, Nurul Shuhada expressed anger at a woman who is believed to have had an affair with her ex-husband.
