KUALA LUMPUR: Actor and choreographer Adam Corrie Lee advises all husbands to "think hard" before deciding to marry a second wife.
The 54-year-old star of films such as Spinning Gasing and KL Gangster said on Instagram yesterday that being unable to have children might be a reason for a man to take a second wife, but doing so would not be fair to his first wife.
"A good husband takes his wife to visit the specialist first. At times, it may be your fertility problem and not your wife's. The doctor knows what to do," said Adam Corrie who only had a son when he turned 50 in 2018.
"This is what I went through. What my wife and I did was visit a fertility specialist, and after waiting for a while and praying hard, our son finally arrived."
Adam Corrie and his wife of 15 years, Fazima Fuad, took 10 years to have a child. Their only son, Fateh Lee, was born in 2018.
"God answered our prayers when I was 50 and my wife was 40. Our lovely son Fateh is the pride and joy of our lives."
Adam Corrie and Fazima were married on Nov 21, 2008, and Fateh was born on July 11, 2018.
