KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Adira Suhaimi insists that the only way forward with regard to her marriage to Datuk Seri Adnan Abu a.k.a. Datuk Red, is to end it.
In a recent news report, the 32-year-old artiste said that this would be best, despite adding that her husband was still hopeful in saving their marriage.
"The only solution for us is to go separate ways," said Adira, whose marriage is on the rocks.
Adira filed for divorce at the Gombak Barat Lower Syariah Court on Oct 25 last year, citing irreconcilable differences as the main reasons for it.
On Dec 18, the court had decided to announce the decision based on the report by the conciliatory committee on March 5 this year.
Earlier, on April 1, 2019, she had also filed for divorce, but later retracted, saying that she wanted to give the marriage (and her husband) another chance, for their children's sake.
Adira and Adnan married in Songkhla, Thailand on Dec 3, 2015.
They have four children: Anggrek, 7; Asan, 6; Anggun, 5; and Ayob, 2.
