#Showbiz: Syasya's grandmother upset that she has quit Dolla

KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran actress Rozie Othman is upset that her granddaughter Syasya Shahrizal has left girl group Dolla which is now at the peak of their popularity.

Rozie, 61, said in a news report yesterday that she however accepted Syasya's decision with an open heart.

"I want to congratulate my dearest granddaughter on her recnt marriage, though I'm rather sad that she has chosen to leave her band. I pray that she will succeed in all future endeavours and be safe and happy always," said Rozie.

Rozie also said that she was happy that Syasya, 23, had chosen to ditch her previous sexy image following her marriage.

"I was in Mecca, Saudi Arabia at the time of her marriage. I am happy to hear that she has chosen to further her studies with her husband too."

Rozie also said that Syasya's decision to leave Dolla was due to her decision to further her studies overseas.

Last April 8, Syasya announced that she had left Dolla for personal reasons.

On April 21, Universal Music Malaysia confirmed that Syasya had left the girl group which also comprises Sabrina Rusli or Sabronzo, Tabby Lam and Angel Chai.
