#SHOWBIZ: Melly Goeslaw composes song for Palestine at mesmerising concert [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular Indonesian singer-songwriter Melly Goeslaw ended her two-hour concert last night at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, here by promising her Malaysian fans with another show on May 31 next year in the same venue.

During the sold-out concert last night, Melly entertained about 9,000 concertgoers, who mostly followed the Back-to-School dress code and looked like they were going to a school graduation event.

The Ada Apa Dengan Melly..& Friends? Concert, with the Graduation Night theme, was Melly's second concert here following a show at the Plenary Hall, here last year.

For next year's concert, the theme will be Prom Night.

The 50-year-old artiste performed more than 20 songs, with several sets of medleys.

Among the hits performed were 'Ingin Mencintai Dan Dicintai', 'Berdua Lebih Baik', 'Hey Ladies', and 'Kubahagia.'

Hip-hop star Joe Flizzow was a surprise guest artiste from Malaysia who performed a duet with her by rapping to the song 'Jika.'

The concert also featured a new talent and fellow Indonesian, Putri Ariani.

During the mesmerising show, Melly took the opportunity to express her support for Palestine as well and created an impromptu song for the war-torn nation.

Prior to that, she invited two members of the audience to come up onstage and together they came up with the lyrics to the song.

"If anyone wants to record or use this song, please feel free to do so.

"The three of us won't be claiming any royalty fees from it," she said after singing the song upon its completion.
