KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Puteri Sarah Liyana refuses to interfere in the domestic affairs involving her ex-husband, Syamsul Yusof, who is reported to be divorcing his wife, Ira Kazar.
The 39-year-old artiste said that she refused to complicate the situation with any comments from herself, according to Harian Metro.
"I am aware that many people have wanted me to speak on this matter since yesterday, but I apologise for not being able to give you the answer you want.
"I don't want my statement to have a negative impact on other people's difficulties.
"I believe that whatever decision Syamsul makes is of his own free will and there is no coercion from anyone," she said.
Puteri Sarah added that she was currently living a happy life as a single mother of two children.
"I am happy in my own way. I don't have time to think about other people's problems because my focus is on the children," she said.
It was reported yesterday that Syamsul had filed for divorce against Ira at the Lower Syariah Court in Gombak Timur, Selangor.
This is Syamsul's second marriage after divorcing Puteri Sarah on June 14 last year.
Syamsul and Puteri Sarah tied the knot on March 8, 2014, and have two children, namely Syaikhul Islam, 6, and Sumayyah, 4.
On Jan 6 last year, Syamsul finally quashed rumours of his relationship with Ira by announcing that he had wedded her in Thailand.
