CAMERON HIGHLANDS: An eight-month pregnant woman and her one-year-old child died in a landslide at Tringkap here early this morning.
Her husband, V. Raja, 41, however survived the 5.29am incident.
The victims were identified as M. Nithiahwaty, 24, and her child R. Rubeniswaran, 1.
A spokesman of Fire and Rescue Department said the Raja was pulled out from the rubble at 7.13am.
"The child’s body was pulled from under the rubble at 8.03am," he said, adding Nithiahwaty’s body was pulled out later.
