Jac is over the moon with the arrival of "Baby Rivera"

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular singer and proud mom Jaclyn Victor welcomes healthy baby boy.

The winner of Malaysian Idol Season 1 gave birth to her bundle of joy last Monday, at one of the private hospitals in the Klang Valley.

Speaking exclusively to NST, Jac sounded over the moon and was still in disbelief that she is a mother to a baby boy weighing at 3.48kg at birth.

“I loved him as soon as I found out that I was pregnant with him. I couldn’t believe that this little life that has been growing inside me has now come out into the world. I am so happy that he’s finally here.

“Motherhood started even before he arrived. And like a lot of first-time mothers, I wasn’t sure whether I would ever be ready. But when you find yourself so wrapped up in the moment with your baby, it feels extremely amazing that nothing else matters anymore. It just feels very natural,” said the 37-year-old proud mother.

Jac who married Shawn Rivera, member of popular American R&B group Az Yet, in Philadelphia last year, added that she and her husband were looking forward to raise their little one, whom they fondly called “Baby Rivera” at the moment, with lots of love.

“We are still in the midst of selecting his name. We’ll be sharing it soon but for now, I just want to enjoy my time with Baby Rivera,” said the Gemilang singer who only announced the arrival of her son this morning on her Instagram and Facebook accounts.

In her Instagram account, Jac wrote: “Thank you to everyone for all your well wishes, hopes and prayers for our lil’ bundle of joy, Baby Rivera (still figuring out his name) who arrived safely by Gods favour on Monday, the 24th of August 2015, weighing in at 3.48kgs, measuring 54cm. Both @shawnkurtrivera and I are over the moon and are so happy to announce his arrival to the world. Both Baby and his mama are doing great too. Just looking forward to bonding even more and resting. We love you. We thank you once again. Love, the iveras.”
