Labuan police receive new patrol cars

LABUAN: The Labuan police contingent headquarters today received three new mobile patrol vehicles (MPV) for crime prevention activities and escorting duty in the duty-free island here.

Labuan police chief said the Labuan contingent was among the police contingents throughout the country that received the vehicles (Proton Inspira) from the 400 allocated nationwide.

“The additional vehicles will greatly help the police to improve response time for any emergency cases,” he told Bernama today after presenting the vehicle keys to the Labuan MPV Unit here today.

Adzhar said the objective of acquiring the new MPVs was to facilitate more effective crime prevention and providing assistance to the public in times of emergencies.

He urged all MPV personnel to make full use of the new vehicles to maintain the good image of the force by providing quick and quality service.--BERNAMA
