KOTA BARU: A 55-year-old man was badly hurt by his knife-wielding wife after he told her of his intention to take a second bride.
In the 1pm incident at Kampung Manek Urai Lama, Kuala Krai, the man had been lying on the floor of his house when he voiced his plan to his 56-year-old wife.
The wife returned to the room with a knife and slashed her polygamy-minded husband on the head, back of the neck, forehead and right arm.
The man, who was in shock, ran out of the house. He was later sent to the Manek Urai clinic, where he received more than 15 stitches for his wounds.
Kuala Krai deputy police chief Deputy Superintendent Zulkarnain Ismail Al Haj said in spite of the incident, no police report was lodged, as the couple has since reconciled.
However, a picture of the man with his injuries has gone viral on social media.
