KOTA BARU: The Kelantan Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry seized branded fake handbags worth more than RM33,000 in a series of raids early this week.
The ministry, in a Facebook post today, said the 829 handbags were confiscated from two shops in Machang and a shop in Kota Baru, on Oct 4 and 5.
"Our officers joined by the trademark owners to raid these premises following complaints that these shops were selling fake items.
"These fake items were also being sold online," said the statement.
The ministry said the cases were being under investigated Section 102(1) of the Trademarks Act 2019.
