KUALA LUMPUR: A fire which broke out at a fitness centre in Suria KLCC last night was swiftly contained before being extinguished by firefighters.
Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd said the fire started at 11.31pm at Babel.
"Nevertheless, the fire was swiftly contained due to the activation of the building's firefighting system, combined with immediate response from emergency services, including the Fire and Rescue Department and Emergency Response Team," it said in a statement.
Firefighters arrived at the mall at 11.48pm, it said, and successfully extinguished the flames.
"No casualties or injuries were reported. We are diligently working to address any remaining concerns and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all patrons, retailers and staff.
"Babel is temporarily closed for business until further notice, but the rest of the mall remains operational."
