Call police first if you think strangers are in your home [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: Call the police first if you suspect strangers are in your home, said police.

Brickfields police chief Assistant Commissioner Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood said this today following a video showing two maids letting two male strangers into their employers' home while the employer and his wife were upstairs.

"What the employer did was correct. You shouldn't panic. Always call the police first," he said when contacted.

"Once the incident is settled, the employer should lodge a police report." Ku Mashariman said the employer had contacted the police.

"Several policemen responded to the incident and helped the employer with the unknown men, who were allowed into his house by his maids.

"We have yet to receive a report from the man," he said.

Dr Shazril Shaharuddin had taken to Instagram to share footage showing his two maids allowing the strangers into his home at 9.25pm on Monday.

A neighbour had informed him about the incident.

In the video, Dr Shazril said how with police help, he discovered the men in the maids' quarters with his baby sleeping between their beds.

Police arrived at the home at 11.20pm, and found the men shirtless and lounging on the bed.
