Police hunt motorcyclists accused of staging accident to extort Singaporean bikers

JOHOR BARU: Police are attempting to identify the two motorcyclists who allegedly staged accidents to extort money from Singaporean bikers heading to Johor via Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI).

Johor Baru (south) police chief Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat urged the victim in the alleged incident to come forward and lodge a report to facilitate investigations.

Earlier, the New Straits Times reported that a 46-second video recorded by a foreigner's motorcyclist dash camera was uploaded onto the Malaysia-Singapore Border Crossers Facebook group yesterday.

The foreigner claimed in the Facebook post that the two motorcyclists had attempted to extort money from him as compensation for the damages, after deliberately staging an accident.
