KUANTAN: Police have completed their probe into the assault of a construction worker, which allegedly also involved a member of the royalty.
However, state police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman said they were now fine-tuning the investigation papers as instructed by the Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP).
The alleged incident purportedly happened in June and is being investigated under sections 324 and 148 of the Penal Code for assault and rioting with a weapon.
Meanwhile, Meanwhile, district police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu said several people were previously remanded for investigations.
Earlier today, Malaysiakini reported a 44-year-old man claimed he was assaulted by 20 people including a member of the royalty at a stable in June.
The man lodged a police report on the matter, claiming the assault was linked to a dispute over land in Rompin.
He also claimed being stabbed in the thigh with a knife and shot at. However, the bullet missed his leg.
