KUALA LUMPUR: Police have received a report of a snatch theft involving a 58-year-old woman in Jalan Ara, Taman Desa Cemerlang, Johor Baru, today.
Seri Alam police chief superintendent Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said initial investigations revealed that the incident occurred at about 7pm yesterday when the victim was walking home alone.
"Two unidentified male suspects in a vehicle with a fake registration number approached the victim from behind, stopped next to her and stole her mobile phone.
"The total loss incurred was around RM500, and the victim did not sustain any serious injuries," he said in a statement today.
He said that investigations to identify the suspects were underway.
