KUALA LUMPUR: So hands up, who wants free Baskin-Robbins ice cream?
Over a period of two hours this Malaysia Day, the world’s largest chain of ice cream specialty shops is treating all Malaysians to a sweet reward of their favourite ice cream flavours.
On Sept 16, Baskin-Robbins is calling all Malaysians to join its ‘Free Scoop Night’ 2017, between 8pm to 10pm, where each Malaysian will receive a free junior scoop ice cream.
All Malaysians are encouraged to come in their most patriotic outfits such as national sports jerseys, or outfits that best represent the nation; to celebrate our athletes’ achievements during the recent 2017 Kuala Lumpur Sea Games.
Malaysia emerged overall winners of the tournament with 145 gold medals.
Baskin-Robbins Malaysia president Datuk S.Y. Cheah said the company believes that there are many occasions to celebrate.
“Not only will Malaysians get to celebrate the unity and diversity of our great nation with our 31 ice cream flavours on this very special day - but also the many great milestones our Malaysian athletes achieved recently,” he said.
This is the second time that Baskin-Robbins is giving out free ice cream in conjunction with Malaysia’s sterling sporting achievements. The ice-cream maker gave out free ice cream after Malaysia’s great showing at the 2012 London Summer Olympics.
Back then, customers queued over 40km nationwide and a total of 68,000 junior-scoop ice creams were dished out.
For this promotion, customers may collect one junior scoop per person.
