KOTA BARU: The flood situation in Kelantan continues to show improvement, with the torrential rain having let up since Saturday.
Flood waters at Sungai Golok have also receded. According to the state government's flood portal, Sungai Golok is the only river that remains above the danger level at 9.96m, which is 0.96m above its danger level of 9m.
The number of evacuees currently stand at 8,195 people as of 8am.
The victims, from 3,255 families, are now taking shelter at 29 relief centres in four districts.
Pasir Mas has the highest number of victims at 4,802 people, followed by Tumpat (3,328), Kota Baru (39) and Pasir Putih (24).
As of 8am, a total of 13 roads remained closed to traffic due to the flood.
