Jom Heboh Carnival in Kota Kinabalu this weekend

KOTA KINABALU: The Jom Heboh TV3 carnival returns to Sabah after six years.

The two-day carnival, dubbed the biggest field event in Malaysia, will be held at the Likas Sports Complex here from on Sept 7-8.

Media Prima Television Networks chief executive officer Johan Ishak said Sabah was the last stop for the carnival when it was held in 2013.

“We are excited to return to Sabah as the last leg of the carnival then was held in the state, and we received an overwhelming response from Sabahans.

“This field activity offers a platform for us to be close to our loyal audience besides showing our gratitude to fans,” he said in a statement.

Johan expressed hope the carnival would not only get support from city folks but also from fans in other districts in Sabah.

Visitors will be able to meet their favourite celebrities such as Bella Dally, Nafiz Muaz, Shuk GPH, Shuib GPH, Fizie GPH, Megat Mentor, Wani Kayrie, Afieq Shazwan and Alyssa ICSYV.

“Besides that, they can also meet TV3 personalities such as Fiza Sabjahan, Fariha Onn, Hazrena Kasim, Anwar Afiq and Zack Merican, who will be doing live broadcasts for the TV station.

“Visitors can also take part in activities such as Tiru Gaya Saya, Lip Sync Battle, Karaoke Boom! With the artistes,” he added.

Children will be entertained by hosts Harris Alif and Shah Sulaiman on various do-it-yourself activities, games, dental care demonstration and taking pictures with mascots of popular local animation series such as Ejen Ali, Boboiboy and Alif & Sofia.

On Saturday night, there will be a concert featuring Misha Omar, Hael Husaini, Drama Band, Amir Masdi as well as Neon.

On Sunday night, Kumpulan Slam, Zizi Kirana, Atmosfera Band, Velvet, Qody Rani and Qalisya Mentor will be on stage to entertain the crowd.
