KOTA KINABALU: Several areas of the city here were struck by flash flooding due to continuous heavy rain since late last night.
Among locations affected are Taman Telipok Jaya, Taman Telipok Ria, Kampung Lokub, Kampung Lorong Pulau and Manggatal; and Kampung Kaulan and Kampung Rugading in Tuaran.
A Sabah Fire and Rescue Department operations centre spokesperson said that it is closely monitoring the situation.
Floodwaters have inundated several major roads in the city, submerging vehicles parked at low-lying areas.
