Yesterday, Ahmad Ridhuan, who is studying at a university in Terengganu, came to Cherating for a picnic with his campus friends at about noon.

He was in the water with 19 others and had formed a circle when a huge wave hit them, resulting in the boys being pushed in separate directions. The victim's friends later saw him struggling in the water before disappearing.
