KUALA LUMPUR: The difficulties faced by a couple, who regularly ride a motorcycle to the hospital with their child who relies on a respiratory aid, has caught the attention of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Anwar, through his political secretary Ahmad Farhan Fauzi, has appealed to the public for any information regarding the family.
"We kindly urge anyone with information about this family to share them in the comments below so we can offer help," he said in a Facebook post today.
Images of the couple, with the wife carrying the child and a bag containing the respiratory aid, have circulated widely on social media.
It's understood that the couple's child depends entirely on the respiratory aid for daily activities.
Meanwhile, a check on the Arena Motor Facebook page revealed that the couple reportedly resides in Taman Kota Nelayan, Kuala Kedah, Kedah.
The account owner also disclosed that the man, known only as Azlan, works as a fisherman and earns a daily wage.
"We extend our gratitude to the people of Malaysia for their support. This information was shared through the inbox from our followers.
"Lacking a car, they rely on their motorcycle for transportation to the hospital," he explained.
