JOHOR: Tangkak and Segamat remained the two districts affected by the flood, with 425 victims evacuated to nine relief centres today.
Four shelters in operation in Jementah in Segamat house 103 victims, while one each in Pemanis and Buloh Kasap houses 20 victims.
Tangkak has three relief centres, with Pagoh housing 50 people, Ledang 27 and Serom 14.
State Secretary and Johor Disaster Management Committee chairman Tan Sri Dr Azmi Rohani said three roads in Kluang were inundated by floodwaters.
While Jalan Queen Cattle is still accessible to all vehicles, only heavy vehicles can access the road after the Kahang Timur junction, and Jalan PPNJ has one lane accessible to all vehicles.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) forecasted rain in Muar, Segamat, Kluang, Batu Pahat, Kota Tinggi, and Kulai, while it was sunny in Johor Baru, Mersing, and Pontian.
Eleven rivers in the state recorded alert levels, with Sungai Kesang in Tangkak, Sungai Lenik in Batu Pahat and Sungai Kahang in Kluang on dangerous alert.
