JOHOR BARU: Three 14-year-old boys claimed to have been abducted by a group of men from a supermarket here before being beaten and photographed naked last night.
Johor Baru Utara police chief, Balveer Singh Mahindar Singh, said police received a report from the victims at 6.45am yesterday.
He said the three teenage boys claimed to have been abducted by a group of men, including one of them known to the victims.
"The victims claimed that they were approached by 10 men and were abducted using three cars to a location that could not be determined.
"The suspect hit the victims and recorded nude pictures of them, and threatened to spread the pictures if the incident was revealed.
"The suspect then fled with the victims' personal belongings and left them at the same location," he said in a statement today.
Balveer said the injured victims, with bruises on the face and hands was successfully rescued with the help of the public and sent to the hospital for treatment.
He said the victims then went to the police station to make a report.
"The police arrested four local men, including three juveniles aged around 15 to 20 years in the Skudai area at 8pm yesterday.
"The police also managed to confiscate a vehicle used in this incident and return the belongings to the victims.
"The request for remand against all four suspects was allowed for four days starting today until Thursday," he said.
He said the case is being investigated under Section 363 of the Penal Code (kidnapping), Section 324 of the Penal Code (for causing injury with a weapon) and Section 506 (criminal intimidation).
"The investigation is still ongoing to identify the motive of the incident. Efforts to track down some of the suspects who are still at large are actively carried out.
"Police are calling for people with information regarding this case to channel it to the investigating officer inspector at 013-6062618," he said.
