PEKAN: The body of murder victim Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah arrived at the Kampung Nyiur Manis Muslim burial ground at Tanjong Selangor near here at about 5pm.
Her remains which earlier left the Sungai Buloh Hospital's forensic unit at around 2pm today arrived at the burial ground along with a police vehicle escorting the convoy.
Some 200 mourners including family members, relatives and villagers had gathered at the burial ground which was heavily guarded by policemen.
Peramu Jaya assblyman Datuk Mohamad Nizar Najib, who is also the state Investment, Industries, Science, Technology and Innovation Committee chairman were among those present.
The 25-year-old was reported missing after delivering a rental car to a customer on July 10 before she was found dead near Felda Gedangsa in Hulu Selangor on July 15.
A police lance corporal has been arrested in connection with the murder.
Earlier today, Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed the body belonged to Nur Farah based on the DNA results.
