Terengganu KJH visitors get refreshing boost with free 1,000 bottles of water

KUALA NERUS: Visitors at the Karnival Jom Heboh (KJH) at the Terengganu Sports Complex received a refreshing boost in the form of 1,000 free bottles of mineral water to quench their thirst at the three-day carnival.

The mineral water was sponsored by Hasriff Water Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned Bumiputera company based in Besut.

The company owner Datuk Wan Mohd Ariff Rashiddin Wan Jusoh said Hasriff Water was honoured to have given the opportunity to be part of the Terengganu-leg of KJH.

He also praised KJH and described the carnival, which has been held at several locations in the country, as an excellent opportunity and platform for Bumiputera entrepreneurs to promote local products.

"We will not only sponsor for KJH in Terengganu but we have also agreed to do the same for the carnival in Penang at the end of next month and in Johor Baru on Nov 1," he said.

Wan Mohd Ariff Rashiddin handed over the sponsorship to KJH project manager Hairi Zolhaini.

Present was New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd Group Managing Editor, Datuk Ahmad Zaini Kamaruzzaman.

Wan Mohd Ariff Rashiddin said his company had obtained a license from the Health Ministry's Food Safety and Quality Programme for the production of bottled water.

"To date, we produced bottled water in three sizes namely in 350ml, 500 ml, and 1.5 litres.

"Apart from Terengganu, the bottled water produced by the company will be distributed to markets in Kelantan and Pahang.

"We also intend to produce bottled water that can hold up to 5.5 litres of water as suggested and requested by supermarkets," he said.
