KJH Batu Kawan: Get up close with friendly animals at Pet Zootopia!

BATU KAWAN: Pet Zootopia at the Karnival Jom Heboh (KJH) in Batu Kawan Stadium promises a delightful experience for visitors, offering them the chance to interact with a variety of adorable animals.

The booth, operated by The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Berhad (NSTP), is expected to be a major attraction at the three-day event, which runs from tomorrow until Sept 29.

NSTP's Business Development and Special Projects manager Tengku Kaifimirza Tuan Cherit @ Tengku Hamzah, said that visitors would have the opportunity to learn about and engage with domesticated animals, some of which were rarely seen.

"Unlike previous KJH events where we featured Dino Land, this time we're showcasing tame animals, including some exotic species, to provide a fun and educational experience, especially for children. We have over 20 friendly animals on display," he said.

Entry tickets are priced at RM6 per person or RM20 for a group of four.

The booth will also host the Pencarian Wartawan Cilik (Junior Reporter Search), featuring special guests Ally Iskandar and Syamira Nazir.

The recording session will take place tomorrow from 2pm to 5.30pm, with a participation fee of RM30, which includes entry to Pet Zootopia.

"The search is open to children under 12 years old who are articulate, brave, and comfortable with animals. Participants need to upload their recorded videos on social media, and the winners will be announced on Sept 29 at 5pm," he added.

In addition to cash prizes, participants will have the chance to win exciting gifts from sponsors like Nestle, including products such as Maggi, cereal, and Nestum.

"As a special treat, CSR will also be offering a free kilogram of sugar to visitors, while stocks last," he said.
