Police find no foul play in case of dead man at Tampoi flats

JOHOR BARU: A man was found dead on the ground floor of a block of flats near Tampoi here yesterday morning.

Police believed that the man could have accidentally fallen to his death.

Johor Baru Utara deputy police chief Superintendent Yusof Othman said no criminal elements were found in the case.

"At 7.04am yesterday, we received a call from a member of the public, who found the fully clothed body of a local man on the ground floor of the building.

"To date, we have not found any criminal elements relating to the incident," he said in a media statement here today.

Yusof said the man's body was taken to Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) for an autopsy.

"The case is classified as sudden death," he said.

Yusof asked the public who have further information relating to the case to contact them at 07-5563 122 or any nearby police station.

Earlier, several pictures of the man's body caused a sensation when they were circulated on social media.
