NILAI: A naked male body, believed to be a murder victim, was discovered in a ditch behind a shop near Pekan Lama Nilai around noon today.
Nilai District police chief, Superintendent Abdul Malik Hasim, reported that the body, which was found by a member of the public, showed signs of injuries and is suspected to be that of a foreigner.
"Preliminary investigations suggest the victim is a foreigner with light skin, short hair, approximately 165 cm tall, and in his mid-30s.
"It appears that the man had been deceased for about 24 hours, with further examination revealing injuries from a blunt object on his head and other parts of the body, indicating a possible murder," he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code, and the police are urging anyone with information to come forward to any police station to assist with the investigation.
