KLUANG: Unofficial results showed Barisan Nasional's Syed Hussien Syed Abdullah is leading in the straight fight for the Mahkota state seat by-election.
As of 7.10pm, Syed Hussien has garnered 3,550 votes against Perikatan Nasional's Mohamad Haizan Jaafar who is trailing with 1,198 votes.
The vote tally is from 12 of the 121 boxes, from 20 polling centres in the Mahkota constituency.
