Ku Adib was well-liked, known for his kindness

SUNGAI BULOH: The victim of the fatal motorcycle accident near UiTM Dungun, Ku Adib Aizad Ku Azmi was well-liked and known for his kindness.

His aunt, Mirza Nadzaruddin, 24, said Ku Adib is also a diligent son who would work as a part-time food delivery rider during his semester break.

"He is a kind person and son. I'm quite close to him as we are around the same age. He was well-liked and simply just kind to everyone. Everyone liked him.

"This came as a shock for us," the UKM student said.

Yesterday, three students from UiTM Dungun were killed, and another was severely injured when a Honda CRV SUV, driven by a woman, crashed into their two motorcycles at 7.20pm.

The driver, a 49-year-old woman believed to be mentally ill, has been remanded for four days starting today.

The deceased victims are Ku Adib, 20, Khairil Anuar Jamaluddin, 20, both who are accounting students and Mohd Akhmal Tukirin, 20, who is a hospitality major.

Their friend Mohd Ammar Danish Mohd Rodhuan, 20, who sustained severe injuries is being treated at the Dungun Hospital and will be transferred to the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital, Kuala Terengganu for further treatment.

Khairil Anwar's remains is expected to be laid to rest at the Ukay Perdana Islamic Cemetery while Mohd Akhmal in Muar, Johor.

Ku Adib is expected to be laid to rest at Raudhatul A'liyah Saujana Utama Islamic Cemetery, here, after his parents' arrival.

As of press time, his parents, Berita Harian assistant news editor, Hafizah Iszahanid and Ku Azmi Saad, a staff at Print Tower Sdn Bhd (PTSB), a company under the New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd who touched down in Jeddah to perform Umrah and subsequently flew back after hearing the news, have yet to arrive in Malaysia.

Ku Adib's body will be brought home after jenazah prayers at Masjid An-Nur Saujana Utama, here.
