KUALA LUMPUR: A Perodua Alza driver caused a motorcyclist to skid and crash after abruptly changing lanes along a busy highway in the city.
The video of the incident, shared by a TikTok user, has garnered 2.5 million views and 85,200 likes.
The driver was seen changing lanes without checking the surroundings or using signals, leading to the motorcyclist to take evasive action to avoid a collision with another MPV.
Despite the rider's quick reflexes, he, unfortunately, fell off his machine and was dragged along the road.
Netizens expressed their disappointment with the driver's behaviour, criticising the lack of apology or concern for the injured rider.
Fortunately, the rider sustained only minor injuries, mainly road rash.
However, they praised another MPV driver who promptly came to the rider's aid, showcasing a selfless act of compassion.
"The driver in the red shirt deserves my respect. He immediately helped the guy without giving a glimpse of his car," said a netizen.
Another netizen said, "Yes, some individuals have a selfish driving attitude."
In response to the incident, netizens urged the victim to lodge a report and take legal action against the reckless driver to seek justice.
