KUALA LUMPUR: A series of 'exchange' between a man and a monkey he rescued from drowning at a lake, believed to be Tasik Kenyir, has left netizens amused after the clip went viral on social media.
The clip, uploaded by TikTok user @amazonhouseboat, shows the man telling off the monkey as he tries to pull it from the lake into his boat.
The man, in his thick Terengganu accent, can also be heard scolding the monkey to sit quietly in the boat as he brings it to the shore of the lake.
"Terima kasih dok (you do not even bother to say thank you)," the man was heard hilariously telling the monkey at the end of the clip when they arrived at the shore of the lake.
The comment section of the clip, which received around 24,000 likes, was flooded with comments, including many who thanked the man for rescuing the monkey.
"Thank you to the man for saving the monkey," wrote @yeyeen.
User @jayy could not help but compare the exchange between the man and the monkey to a parent scolding their child.
"It's like scolding his son," wrote the user.
Another user @syahida was entertained by the exchange when she wrote: "I'm amused".
